Carpino, Italy
Participants: Armor,Southern Cross, Doctor Chronos, Tigerwasp.

It turns out that Hellers number leads to a message service. After the message is left rather discretely,(which he promises on the message), it only takers about 15 minutes for him to get back with Doc.

He agrees to meet with you all but is a little apprehensive and says his team had to leave Italy in a hurry. They are back in the states in Lansing Michigan. He says to contact him when you land and he'll send a car.

Pleaes take liberties and detail in brief (or at length) your travel to Michigan.

On the trip back, Doc rested and Joe disappeared from the first class section at the start only to reappear at the end of the flight.

During the flight he asked, "Does anyone want to claim they're a good driver? If we're trying to be discreet I probably shouldn't be hiring cars."

Lucy was generally not the most observant. This held true throughout the flight. If any devices were so blatantly obvious as to be detected by her they would most likely be seen by the others first. Nonetheless in her perusal of others' attire she may glimpse something odd.

Also, I've forgotten how to generate the dice rolls.

"I've worked as a stunt driver," Armor replied off-handedly, "and if we ever wind up back in Los Angeles, can probably line up the loan of a car -- off the books, no paperwork -- from the grateful movie studio I'd helped out during that adventure." He pauses, thinking it over. "If, that is, this world keeps paralleling mine. Which, come to think of it, means there should be a car dealership in Michigan that owes me a favor likewise."

Lucy took far more note of sartorial style and coiffure than she did of prospective alarms. Nonetheless, there remained the outside chance that she spotted something odd.

It's been only 3 days since they all found themselves on the forest floor, yet now most of the team is growing accustomed quickly to the jet-setting lifestyle. Less than 13 hours ago, they were all in the middle of Old Italy, now having touched down minutes ago in Michigan, their latest task is dealing with another 'mix-up' with Lucy.

As she was walking OUT of the main passenger debarking area, a TSA guard shouted out at her. Now, 15 minutes later and still in a holding area, more accurately, a locked waiting room, Lucy awaits a more detailed explanation. It appears that someone resembling her, or at least as strikingly sexy as her, had triggered a routine security baggage check and bolted when questioned about the contents. The guards politely escorted her to this room explaining that they were to check the recordings from the event that happened earlier this morning. For now, she sits patiently awaiting some nice man to walk through the door into this simply bleak room and tell her it was all a mistake.

This has give the rest of the team to gather near a security office and for Armor to access the top notch wireless internet. It does appear that this worlds version of him has 'similar' thoughts when it comes to finances; the partial celebrity is quite well known among a very specific demographic, hackers and technophiles. Armor has not yet been able to hack 'his' own OP-net site which would give him much access to this worlds him. Having recently discovered the site "N!" in which anybody that is of any import has a full account and logs of their conquests complete with blogs and social networking. Fro the moment he sets at a bench table on a laptop tapping away near the rest of the gang.

Joe said dryly, "These temporal clones are becoming a problem."

Doc answered, "There's several ironies there. OK, I'll go and talk to the nice guards and point out that she couldn't possibly have done this. Armor, Cross... think hard about how to make peace with your alt if he's still around and why he'd be dead if he's not."

Chronos went to try to talk Lucy's way out of trouble by pointing out that she was on an airplane when all this was happening.

Armor amiably tags along with Doc, ready to play along with a good-cop-bad-cop interaction if Doc leads off with the latter. Of course, he's just as ready to play along with a good-cop-good-cop interaction.

After a very short introduction to one of the junior TSA agents, he fetches his supervisor to come and meet The Doctor and Armor. The supervisor was busy looking over the footage from earlier and could be heard from the back room.

",,, looks like that, I mean look at how the people were reacting to her."

Another voice, this one a woman.

"Yes I agree with that point but look here, you can see under the hat and clearly her hair is green, like neon lime green. Take it from a woman, hair doesn't change color that fast with no trace."
"Well who else, what else for that matter, can make people react like that save someone like Lucy in there. Were going to have some sexual harassment cases on our hands if we.."



He in interrupted by the junior agent and then excuses himself to come meet Doc and Armor. A few moments later he is at the desk.

"I am to understand that you gentleman have something to do with some recent events and might even know someone we may or may not have in custody?" He seems irritated a litttle at something but not aggressive.

Doc says, "Why yes. I am Dr. John Donaldson. Lucy sat next to me on the plane, actually next to both of us. We were quite surprised at her being picked up like this, we'd only just stepped foot off the plane. Have you caught whoever started this yet? Oh, and if so, was this a PR stunt by one of her rivals?"


{Active Persuader & Awe inspiring... Doc is trying to suggest Lucy couldn't have done this and the police are quickly putting themselves in a position of being made to look like fools... which is reasonably close to the truth.}

"Well, we have Lu.." He pauses a moment and stares intently at Chronos. It seemed an epiphany struck.
"A publicity stunt, that must have been what this was. Only Hollywood could have pulled something like this off. Maybe there was some sort of super involved.."

He rambles under his breath something about none of the alarms going off and no powers being active.

"Yes a publicity stunt for sure. Thank you so much."

Looking over at Armor he grins a little. "Your secrets good with me. Let me get your friend."

The TSA agent then strolls down the hall rather pleased with himself at finally figuring this out. Moments later, Lucy is released and full of deep apologies from the supervisor.

Doc flushed a little at being kissed by every so attractive and desirable Tigerwasp and replied, "Car dealership. I mean... we need a driv..."

He paused and tried again, "I mean we have a driver so all we need now is a car." Doc nodded to Armor proclaiming his claimed skill as a driver.

"No problem," said Armor, still grinning from the kiss. "Not sure how far off the nearest dealership is -- but so long as we're at an airport, care to see if we can discreetly borrow a vehicle from a car-rental place?"

Doc says, "Good idea" and thought to himself, Let's buy a car, subconsciously trying to impress the pretty lady are we?

Armor ambles over to the rental agency -- if there's a choice, he'll naturally pick one he's a major investor in.

{OOC: If/when we get a car, Doc scans it for those darn 'fire alarms'... and he's got some things he wants to say while in transit in a less public environment than the airport}

Armor is able to swagger a pretty decent discount on a fancy and practical current year rental. It comes complete with all the bells and whistles one can imagine, from an OP-net direct linkup to self-parking and automatic pilot.

No alarms or sensors seem to be present on the vehicle although there are quite a few after-market gizmos under the hood that, at the moment, seem to perplex the team as to their purpose.
